Traditional methods of biodiversity assessments rely on trapping or visually identifying species in the field which involves extensive estimation techniques, and as a result are costly and time consuming.

How does eDNA sampling and analysis work?

We are revolutionising biodiversity surveys with environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling and analysis. eDNA is ascertained from genetic material released into the environment in the form of skin cells, hair/fur, scales, mucus, blood, gametes, urine, saliva and faeces, as well as from single celled organisms such as bacteria.

What are the benefits of eDNA?

An eDNA scan/report will give you a conclusive data backed species analysis of an area. There is no requirement for estimational data analysis or approximation. The results are fully definable.

FullScan

BioScan

This scan allows you to designate multiple species to establish if they are a regular visitor to an area. It's ideal for multi-animal assessment surveys like protected or endangered species.

InsectScan

Enabling frequent monitoring of insect biodiversity using innovative sampling techniques, this scan is a popular choice for national and regional bodies and government institutions assessing green space biodiversity.

CropScan

CropScan enables the agricultural sector to monitor pollination species in their crops to establish best “planting practices” and to improve crop yields. We also carry out a variation of this analysis for soil sampling to identity the make up of a soil biome for improved crop growth.

Invasive Species Scan

The assessment and monitoring of invasive species is an ongoing issue in ecology. Our Invasive Species Scan employs standard and/or innovative sampling techniques to better monitor the spread of harmful and nuisance species.
