Product Conformity Assessment (PCA) is a verification program designed to ensure that specific products meet the requirements of the technical regulations and standards set by a regulatory authority in the importing country through a Pre-Export/Product Verification of Conformity (PVOC) program.

The PCA program consists of verifying product compliance with the requirements of applicable PVOC standards and technical regulations. Verification of Conformity is done following the review of reports from one (or a combination of) conformity assessment interventions e.g. laboratory testing, physical Inspection and/or factory audits. If found to be in conformance a Certificate of Conformity (COC) is issued. This document is required for customs clearance and reduces the risk of delays, penalties, destruction or return of shipments.
