Course Description

The FSPCA training program provides foundational industry training by FSPCA-trained lead instructors. It fulfills regulatory requirements for activities performed by a “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual” (PCQI), who must complete risk-based preventive controls training. The standardized curriculum ensures participants meet these requirements. Successful participants receive an official FSPCA Certificate of Completion as proof of
qualification.

Food Safety Modernization Act Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (FSMA PCQI) - Animal Food

Course Description:

Learn to become a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) for animal food safety with SGS specialized training. This course is designed to equip you with the skills needed to manage and prepare food safety plans, validate preventive controls, and more within a food processing facility.

Food Hygiene Practices (FSMA)

Course Description:
FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food rule specifies training in food hygiene as a basic requirement for individuals who manufacture, process, pack, or hold food. This course is an introduction to FSMA food hygiene requirements.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
  • Gain an overview of the key elements of FSMA food hygiene and Preventive Control requirements related to production and manufacturing personnel.
  • Understand the requirements for maintaining a working environment that minimizes risk due to food hazards.

Course contains 5 modules consisting of:

  • Introduction to Preventive Controls: Learn about CCPs and PC Human Food steps.
