(DEFINE, MEASURE, ANALYZE, IMPROVE AND CONTROL)
The DMAIC model is used for Six Sigma applications in order to improve the quality of results produced by a company's processes. Defining, Measuring, Analyzing, Improving and Controlling are the four letters of DMAIC. DMAIC methodology has five steps:
• Define the customer requirements, clarify the problem and set goals
• Measure the current process performance and collect relevant data for further study.
• Analyze and determine the root cause for the problems, defects and the variation
• Improve the process by eliminating the defects and reducing variation
• Control and manage future performance

4. Can I directly go for a LSS Black Belt?
Direct Black Belt is not recommended for professionals without any background of Six Sigma, as you need to first have conceptual clarity of DMAIC.
